CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS: 1 DECEMBER 2017 - AT 23:59
The UK and Dutch Clinical Genetics societies invite you to submit an abstract for presentation and or poster at the next Joint Clinical Genetics Conference to be held in Utrecht. The program includes invited presentations on classic topics in the total field of clinical genetics in the cycle of life.
The central theme of this 6th joint meeting will be “Future Proof Clinical Genetics”
Joint sessions are also planned with the UK/ Dutch Cancer Genetics Groups.
The program committee has agreed to set aside several slots in scientific sessions for open presentations. These shall be selected from submitted abstracts through open competition. A separate session is planned for the Robin Winter Prize, the Ben ter Haar Prize and the Dutch Clinical Genetics Prize for clinical genetics specialist trainees (SpR prize) or Genetic trainees.
The abstract should include statement of purpose, methods used, and summary of results in sufficient details to support the conclusions.
Abstracts can be submitted for lecture and/or poster. Abstracts that are not selected for spoken presentations will all be considered as poster presentation.
Instructions for Preparing the Abstract
Familiarise yourself with the layout prior to submitting your abstract, as abstracts which are not submitted correctly will be automatically rejected.
You may wish to print out a preliminary copy of the submission page to assist you in preparing your abstract. The web page contains full instructions for submission.
When you have filled in the form, please double check all information carefully before pressing the Submit button.
Mistakes which are present in the submitted form cannot be rectified afterwards. Do NOT submit your abstract more than once.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Abstract Title - Capitalise the first letter of the title and the first letter of proper nouns only. Do not include a full-stop at the end of the title. The maximum title length is 50 words (including spaces).
Authors & Institutions – The presenting author should come first. No more than ten authors may be included.
Abstract Text – It is advisable to prepare the text of your abstract on a word processor and paste the entire text into the text-box. The text should be continuous, without line breaks. Do not include double quotes (“). There is a strict automatic limit of 250 words.
Only complete filled in abstract forms will be judged.
No other form of submission then via the abstractform will be accepted. All abstracts must be accompanied by a valid email address.
You will be notified by email of your abstract’s receipt following your submission. This will be the only notification you will receive prior to the decision of the Scientific Program Committee. If your abstract is accepted by the Scientific Program Committee for presentation, you will be notified by email.
Presenting authors must register for the meeting and are NOT exempt from the registration fee.
